Bigg Boss Season 19 kicked off on Sunday with Salman Khan returning as the host, and one of the most talked-about contestants this year is digital creator and YouTuber Nagma Mirajkar. Ahead of stepping into the house, Nagma opened up about why she decided to take up the reality show, how she feels about sharing the stage with her ex-boyfriend Awez Darbar, and what viewers can expect from her journey.

‘Bigg Boss was always on my mind’

With 7.8 million Instagram followers and over a million YouTube subscribers, Nagma is already a familiar face for her fans. But for her, Bigg Boss was always a dream waiting to happen. “I always knew that someday I would be a part of Bigg Boss. I’ve been watching it since Season 1, back in my school and college days. Even my family loves the show. So, it was always at the back of my mind that ek na ek baar Bigg Boss mein aaungi,” she shared.

This year, everything just seemed to align. “It felt lucky for me, the vibes were good, and I instantly said yes,” Nagma added.

‘I want to stay real, not play dirty’

Unlike many contestants who enter the house with pre-planned strategies, Nagma insists she wants to stay authentic. “I don’t have any strategies. I just want to be real and go with the flow. One thing I know for sure is that I don’t want to play dirty—that’s very important for me.”

Nagma will also be sharing the house with her ex-boyfriend and fellow content creator Awez Darbar. While many expect sparks, she remains calm and focused. “Yes, Awez is entering too, and he’s a very strong competitor. People will get to see our bond and how we actually are in real life, inside the game,” she said, without delving much into their personal equation.

Her message for the other contestants was short but impactful: “If you’re good to me, I’ll be a great friend. But if you’re bad to me, then stay alert.”

Bigg Boss 19’s OTT-first format

This season of Bigg Boss takes a new turn with an OTT-first strategy. Episodes will stream first on JioCinema at 9 pm, followed by a delayed telecast on Colors TV at 10:30 pm.
