Maruti Suzuki Victoris SUV Unveiled in India- India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, has officially unveiled its newest SUV, the Victoris, in the domestic market. Positioned as the flagship model of the Arena portfolio, the Victoris will sit above the popular Brezza, aiming to capture the competitive mid-size SUV space. With the tagline “Got It All,” Maruti Suzuki has ensured that the Victoris comes loaded with features, strong safety credentials, and multiple drivetrain options to appeal to a wide audience. Bookings are expected to commence soon, with pricing announcements to follow in the coming weeks.
Safety: A Big Step Forward for Maruti Suzuki
Safety has often been a debated subject for Maruti Suzuki vehicles, but the Victoris is here to change that perception. The SUV has secured a 5-star rating in the BNCAP crash tests, establishing itself as one of the safest Maruti cars to date. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control, and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS Level-2), which makes its debut in the Indian lineup through this model.
The ADAS option includes modern safety features such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with curve speed adjustment, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, rear cross-traffic monitor, and high-beam assist. In addition to using four-wheel disc brakes for improved braking performance, and electronic parking brake with auto-hold, these features demonstrate Maruti Suzuki (MSIL) having gone, if not beyond, at least into modern safety technology, not only value.
Design and Colours: Modern Yet Balanced
The Victoris has been designed to strike a balance of modern and practical. The front fascia is inspired by the e-Vitara concept with a split design housing a body-coloured upper portion, and a presumable blacked-out lower bumper. The front fascia is home to sleek LED headlamps adorned with a chrome strip, with fog lamps appearing slightly higher than the bumper for a personalized look.
The Victoris is immediately identifiable by its visually large quarter glass, giving it a stretched look from the side. The Victoris rides on alloy wheels measuring 17 inches with an aero-cut, turbine look. From the back, the SUV gets connected LED tail lamps featuring a scattered light signature, making it easy to differentiate from other Maruti Suzuki models.
In terms of dimensions, the Victoris measures 4,360 mm x 1,655 mm x 1,795 mm, with a 2,600 mm wheelbase. Buyers will have a big choice of 10 paint options, including seven monotone colours and three dual-tone finishes. Along with this model are two all new colours – Mystic Green and Eternal Blue.

Maruti Suzuki has held strong in the efficiency department. The 1.5L petrol-manual has an efficiency figure of 21.18 km/l and the automatic is slightly lower at 21.06 km/l. Choosing AWD drops it to 19.07 km/l. The CNG version claims to have an efficiency of 27.02 km/kg, so it would still be a very economical choice. The real show-stopping figure is with the strong-hybrid model, with a segment-leading capability of 28.65 km/l.
